Amy provides facilitation support to research participants involved in the lab’s psychedelic and consciousness studies, which includes the provision of psychoeducation and the conduct of preparation, dosing, and integration sessions.

Amy is certified as a Psychedelic Assisted Provider through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. She has worked as a mental health counselor for about thirty years, specializing in providing substance use treatment from a trauma informed perspective. She has spent most of her clinical years working in university health services settings. In addition to her facilitation work in the Raison Lab, Amy offers psychotherapy through her private practice, Inner Annealing Psychotherapy, LLC.

Amy has an MS in Counseling from UW-Whitewater, an MA in Chinese from UW-Madison and a BA in Classics/Religion from UMass-Amherst. She is fascinated by how the mind works and how people make sense of – and cope with – the world in which we live.
