Maya (she/her) works as a Research Intern focused primarily on the CoPEWell study. She is currently being trained to work with HD-EEG, TMS-EEG, taVNS, and REDCap design. Additionally, she is assisting in screening for ENHANCE and RECAP studies.
She is in her final semester of Psychoactive Pharmaceutical Investigation program at UW-Madison. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biomedical Sciences where she worked in a sensory ecology and neurobiology lab. Maya has experience in the psychedelic harm reduction and nonprofit spaces. She is passionate about exploring the role of altered states of consciousness in expanding our understanding of psychiatric disorders, creating methods and language for documenting psychedelic phenomenology, and integrating holistic approaches into clinical care.
